What’s The Deal With Resort Fees?
When you visit Las Vegas, or simply head over to a hotel’s proprietary site, the price you see for a room is usually not what you’ll actually pay, thanks to hidden resort fees which are basically a mandatory daily charge added to your bill for amenities you may or may not use.
It is enough to ruin the excitement for you and your loved ones, and to make matters worse, you won’t even know about it until you get the check whenever you are leaving the hotel which hits you like a ton of bricks because some hotels such as popular destinations often justify exorbitant fees with vague inclusions like “access to resort experiences”.
And you would be surprised to know that some of these additional charges can go upwards of $50 per night, per room which is downright insane and even ridiculous considering the fact that they even claim that it is mandatory and cannot be waivered off.
In other words, you could say it is a sneaky way for hotels to earn more money from you, by providing services that they should already be providing as part of the basic room rate, these include things like,
- Access To Internet/WIFI: Even though it’s practically a utility these days.

In order to avoid the corporate policy nightmare, and stay on the safe side, here is what you could do even if the above-mentioned hotels are booked and do not want to take any chances when visiting other hotels or resorts.
