Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps. Well, if you are on a super tight budget, your pockets might sleep but guess what, enjoying the concrete jungle of Las Vegas doesn’t necessarily have to cost an arm and a leg, there are many FREE options that you can have all for yourself, at no cost.

Vegas might be infamous for being notoriously expensive and breaking the bank but its iconic skyline doesn’t come with a price tag and is highly breathtaking with its glamourous illumination, leaving plenty of room to appreciate how majestic it looks.

Without further ado, let’s jump to our favorite list of places to visit and where you can get jaw-dropping city views,

Strip Strolling – Scenic Freebies!

Vegas’ Strip is where its at. Everyone has heard of this at some point in their life either from the tv, news or social media feeds, and why not?

Its simply a treat with all the energy and buzzing vibes at all times, with tons of light installations and people doing cosplay characters all to attract that new crowd who haven’t been to the place before as the competition to get new footfall is really high these days so that doesn’t really matter since there’s something for every person visiting out there.

Here are few locations for that freebie in terms of views, they can make the highlight for that perfect Instagram reel.

1. Water Works

If there is one free thing one has to check out in Las Vegas, the Fountains at Bellagio has to be it because it’s no doubt the crown jewel of the Vegas experience with its beautiful and well-timed ballet of lights dancing water all over to tunes of classical to all the newest chartbusters.

With multiple water fountain installations located in a pattern right in front of one of the most luxurious casinos in Las Vegas that’s visible in front of your eyes as a panoramic scenic moment.

Its best if you check this out during late nights with the appropriate gear such as tripod or monopods to get the right amount of shake reduction and that way you would get clear and unblurred shots in your picture because of higher accuracy in shutter time as you need all the speed in your capture since its very easy to lose that perfect moment which makes it difficult with newer smartphones.

Long story short, dont miss the moment to get a picture that screams “bragging rights” especially for your instagram.

2. The LINQ Promenade Fountain show

Probably the most visited places, the LINQ Promenade offers some pretty incredible spots to get the iconic view of the vegas high roller. The Fountain show is also amazing because it syncs up with the lights to deliver one of a kind results.

You will be no doubt intrigued by the colors of Vegas from a vantage point, for a touristy location this one is our top picks on the list.

Moreover, The promenade has plenty to offer too, there is a multitude of vendors, restaurants, and retail shops that make this place one of the most famous hangouts that Vegas has to offer

Going Up for Views

This one is a litlte out of the box but then again thats exactly the kind of stuff you might be looking out for right?

1. The Eiffel replica

You might not be at France, but Vegas comes a close second. If you don’t wanna spend to go to the viewing spot of the Eiffel replica for a view, just don’t as it can feel overpriced for some who’re on a budget.

instead I would recommend checking the perimeter around its building because you would be pleasantly surprised to see how those spot angles offer great scenes especially to make cool reels.

If you happen to visit this spot at a particular period which is during the golden hour just as the sun’s going down in the far western horizon, it’s the perfect light to make all that architectural grandeur pop out especially if the clouds aren’t out and if you’re fortunate to have perfect lighting without those dark and moody effects as a cloud’s shade gives you a low vibrant capture but that also has an interesting view to it too depending on who you ask.

2. Hidden views, not hidden Parking

For that freebie sneak peek of the Strip’s landscape with that whole 360 panoramic grandeur that everyone can easily afford, most garage parkings have plenty to offer at their rooftops and with tons of these to go to at your nearest spot without any travel time which could easily be a last moment idea, it’s just a great feeling for those folks on a time restriction.

Most parking slots of fancy casinos are the best in that regards, they can get super packed as well depending on what events might be going on, but here’s a quick cheat sheet.

I suggest you to check at the Planet Hollywood, Ceasar’s Palace or even the Bellagio if you want to witness all the fountain shows without getting too close into that crammed location.

3. Spaceship view of The Fashion Show Mall

A weird sounding description for a mall but here it is, located on Las Vegas Boulevard with an awesome design of spaceship looking rooftop and they even have fashion shows from well-known designers but that’s not what you’re looking for because that has an extra cost, so we’ll stick to a much more free way.

They offer plenty of open space all the way at their top parking with scenic views especially when the evening time approaches as they tend to light up the whole area and with tons of people to chill and make fun video footage its always crowded but it shouldn’t hinder you at all since there’s ample space as well and you’re probably doing all that click through those selfie sticks to make that TikTok video.

The City in the Background

lets Explore.

The Strat hotel and casino

This is more like an anti-free viewpoint place, you get nothing for free here and I am starting to have my doubt about including this hotel on my list but hear me out.

The Stratosphere tower, having a measurement of 360 feet of stature, has a decent lookout, observation deck, sky jump and roller coasters all crammed up in its top roof area so the experience has much more value as compared to the LINQ’s Ferris wheel in which you pretty much have nothing going for except for the stunning overview of vegas.

You have a couple of options such as visiting the top level sky lounge which will also provide the free drinks of your choice with plenty of other complimentary snacks such as chicken wings, hotdog or mozzarella sticks.

The drink options are quite varied you get to enjoy anything from rum, to margarita all the way to beers, mojito, or whisky to enjoy the ambiance.

Not interested in the drinking and other snack offers they have in store?

Not a problem at all, simply stroll on up to their air tower to catch the jaw-dropping sunset and other iconic skylines in las Vegas without paying a penny

    2. Ferris Wheel

A recent and one of the most loved attractions, is by far the High Roller. With it’s iconic architecture that makes a silhouette with its round structure which stands out with the huge diameter in size.

It’s worth a gaze for its sheer size without any payment because what would you really expect while riding on it with the entire city being visible as that’s the reason it’s designed as such to cater to all those crowds that need a different feel.

The beauty from outside as it lights up when night arrives and most photographers come to visit because it lights up in all colors creating awesome photo ops and for those that are skilled with photoshop as well can create really great photo effects in a digitalized world, so you don’t want to be left out.

    Natural and Scenically Red

Want to break free from Vegas? Want something with contrast to concrete buildings that you don’t get in city life and the concrete structures make you feel restricted?

I’d say just hop onto a free shuttle that’s provided at the Red Rock Canyon where you are given scenic views from a specially designed area on top with its unique geological formations all for free with breathtaking vista.

If you time it right, especially at around 6pm since that’s when its a golden hour as there’s tons of shade and hues the area gives with contrasting rocks that makes for awesome background, in other words, you are in for an amazing view that you might have never seen before.

Digging Deeper – Vegas on a Dime

Lets Dig some deeper in vegas.

    1. Lounge at Skyfall (sort of)

A luxurious place with super posh vibes where everyone who visits gets to see a stunning Strip’s skyline without actually going into it as I wouldn’t recommend going into those pricey joints for folks who are on a budget because even a single meal there is the same as a weekly grocery expense but it’s all worth it if you ask me.

At least once since it’s that awesome of a place, however we are interested in those freebies for this article. Even standing nearby it offers plenty of photo clicks because of the hotel itself has tons of attractions that’s appealing.

Moreover, I suggest going a little early just at sunset and you can capture that change as daylight shifts towards dusk and eventually lights up giving the perfect scenery if you’re fortunate enough that its a nice non-rainy day as otherwise clouds will hinder the whole effect with excessive dark tones.

    2. The volcano at Mirage

An active volcano? Well, kind of but in reality its only just a fire, lights and sounds show that is inspired by a volcanic theme, but who are we to judge? It still delivers a show you won’t forget, it happens each day from 8 pm to 11 pm at an interval of every 1 hour, and don’t worry, they won’t roast you for being near a faux-active volcano.

Although it looks fantastic from afar but it looks magnificent from close proximity to it, so this is a place that you might consider putting on the list to enjoy a free view of Vegas.

    Last words!

We hope that you find something worthwhile while going through our hand-picked list that shows you that there are still good ways to enjoy free views in las Vegas.
